Description
This course comprehensively addresses the principles and practices of pastoral systems in equine production, with a focus on the analysis, design and improvement of breeding, management and reproduction systems.
Through an approach based on animal welfare and sustainability, extensive, intensive and semi-intensive systems are explored, highlighting their advantages, disadvantages and optimization strategies.
The course combines theoretical concepts and practical applications to maximize efficiency and productivity in different equine production contexts.

Through this course, you will be able to:
- Recognize the different types of pastoral systems (extensive, intensive and semi-intensive) and their main characteristics.
- Identify the advantages and disadvantages of each system in terms of management, welfare and equine productivity.
- Understand the basic needs of equines in relation to feeding, management and environment in pastoral systems.
