Description

This course approaches equine behavior from a scientific and practical perspective, exploring the genetic basis, welfare principles and strategies for solving behavioral problems.

Participants will acquire tools to identify, evaluate and improve the management of equine behavior, promoting their welfare and performance in various contexts.

Learning objectives

Through this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify the genetic bases that influence equine behavior and its relationship with management and welfare.
  • Recognize the principles of equine welfare from a behavioral, physiological and mental approach, applying strategies to improve the quality of life of horses.
  • Analyze and propose practical solutions for common equine behavioral problems, considering physical, environmental and emotional factors.
  • Understand the interaction between genetics, environment and management practices in the development of appropriate or problematic behaviors in equines.
