Thank you Lucas for these “No Hat” meetings.
From e-quine ACADEMY we want to thank the possibility of sharing this and other contents in Podcast format that build community, amplify valuable voices and allow us to continue learning together. We are happy to open the doors to proposals like this one, which are born from the commitment, passion and experience of those who live the horse world from the inside. Lucas Echeverry will be the one who, in this and every new meeting, will invite us to enjoy this space for conversation and shared learning, with the warmth of someone who opens the doors of his house and waits for us with a delicious coffee.
Episode 1: “Memories of an Equine Colombia”.
In this episode we talked with Oscar Escobar, better known as Gusano (@criaderoelcairo), economist, equestrian at heart and farmer, about growing up in the Colombian countryside, specifically in the municipality of Salgar- Antioquia, and how the horse influenced his childhood and youth. He also told us about his journey as a national equine judge, his experience in the judges’ evaluation commission, the creation of his breeding farm El Cairo and how writing about horses and life anecdotes saved him from the darkest moments of his soul, as he calls a period of post-covid depression he suffered.
